Description

You are the Viceroy of the Scorched Queen, appointed by her to subjugate the barren wastelands and find the lost treasures of the Smoldering City, the last bastion of civilization that miraculously survived the Rotten Storm that destroyed the old world. In most survival city-building games you control just one city, but in Against the Storm your task is to build a huge network of thriving settlements that will be inhabited by different fantastic peoples with different lifestyles, needs and skills.

Unexpected threats await you in the undeveloped lands, and incessant storms will prevent your charges from rebuilding. You will lose your settlements, expeditions will fail, but this does not mean defeat. Against the Storm is a roguelike game, which means that even if you fail, you can continue your mission with resources, upgrades, and experience from past trips.


Beavers, lizards, humans and harpies help each other survive in this dangerous world. Use the strengths of each race to meet the needs of all. Build suitable dwellings and provide everyone with food, produce luxury items and organize leisure activities. Sew raincoats, brew ale, bake pies - in any way try to raise the morale of the population, which is constantly threatened by a dangerous and uncharted forest.

Add some roguelike elements to a classic city builder and you´ve got a game that you just can´t put down. Build new cities and collect valuable resources needed to improve the Smoldering City. Get ready for Rotten Storms that destroy cities - and at the same time change the world and provide new opportunities for development.

New City, New Challenges: Hundreds of gameplay modifiers and 5 different biomes await you. Prove that you are a talented and capable viceroy. Adapt to difficult weather conditions and experiment with different settlement designs. You will find many perks and building blueprints with which you can bring your settlement to prosperity or turn it into a lifeless wasteland. Use the available resources to gain an advantage, and don´t forget to visit the merchant, who brings new goods every time. Arrange expeditions into the forest, where valuable resources, countless treasures... and ancient dangers await you.

Founding a new city is one of the most exciting moments in any city building game. In Against the Storm, you will be able to constantly create new settlements, expanding your holdings, as well as interact and trade with previously built cities. How big will your cities grow before the storm hits them… or will the Scorched Queen lose her patience?
