Product description

10. A solution containing 1.00 mg of the dye in 100.0 ml transmits 80% of the light with a wavelength of 436 nm in a cell 1.00 cm thick. Calculate: a) the transmission of this solution in a cell with l = 5.00 cm; b) the thickness of the cuvette so that the transmission of a solution with a doubled concentration remains the same (80.0%); c) optical density of a solution containing 2 mg of dye in 100.0 ml of solution in a cuvette of the same thickness; d) dye concentration in the solution (mg/l), at which light transmission in cuvettes of the same thickness reaches 50.0%; e) molar absorption coefficient of the dye solution. (32.77%; 0.5 cm; 0.1938; 31.06 mg/l; 9.691 x 10-3 l/mg x cm).
