Taking Franconian painting and architecture of the late 14th century as a basis, Manor Lords tries to maintain historical accuracy in everything - both in game mechanics and in external design. Familiar medieval images, which have become clichés, give way here to historical accuracy - all in order to make the game world more realistic, colorful and believable.

Manor Lords offers you complete freedom of city building - rotate buildings as you want and place them anywhere. Construction mechanics are based on the principles of the construction of real medieval cities and villages, when the formation and development of settlements largely depended on the landscape and the location of important trade routes.

- Start with the central market and gradually expand, adding residential, commercial and industrial areas taking into account the natural landscape. - Build granaries on fertile soil, choose hunting grounds in wildlife habitats, and provide access to wood and other resources needed for construction and further development.
