Jayavarman VII leads Khmer and Dyah Gitarja leads Indonesia in Civilization VI! While each is universal and unique, both civilizations bring new rivals to the religious game. Indonesia is a strong coastal civilization with the potential to build a huge jong-equipped navy and the Khmers thrive in their densely populated coastal cities. Both of these civilizations come into play in the new Path to Nirvana scenario, where you compete for the most followers of your religion on a unique map of Southeast Asia.

• Civ Unique Ability: The Grand Barais ability gives the Khmer extra food when farms are built near aqueducts, and aqueducts provide both faith and convenience.
• Leader Unique Ability: Jayavarman´s Monasteries of the King ability allows the Khmer to capture surrounding territory as well as food and shelter when Holy Sites are built on a river.
• Unique unit: Domrey, an elephant-mounted ballista, is stronger than a catapult, can move and fire in one turn, and provides a zone of control.
• Unique building: Prasat replaces the temple and provides a great workspace for the relic. Missionaries that are produced here gain a new attribute when they are killed in a religious battle: they create a relic.
